Today, Hive, we present to you a massive remix EP just released on La Bombe, the label headed by the mighty Sharooz. If you haven’t heard “Hysteresis” or “Up,” you must be living under a rock because both of these tracks have gotten support from DJs all over. These two new remixes take the two tracks in some fun, funky new directions that I know the Hive will appreciate.
The first tack, the “Hysteresis” remix, was done by TWR72, who have been getting support from the likes of A-Trak and Laidback Luke. They decided to put a Techno spin on this one and the result was pure genius, I’ve been grooving for this one for days now and am not even close to sick of it. Brodinski has been playing out this remix all over the place with great crowd response.
Sharooz – Hysteresis (TWR72 Remix) by La Bombe
The “Up” remix comes in the form of a Tech House monster. I’m always a sucker for good Tech House and the Scotsman Polymath killed it on this one, DJ’s – don’t sleep on this one.

To get everyone’s week started, we figured what better way than some new Tech House heat from up and coming label Cherry Drop Records out of the UK. Cherry Drop was just started this year in August, but their first released track is in my iTunes rated 5 stars and the upcoming previews they have posted have the same fresh touch. They have also signed artists throughout Europe and the U.S., meaning they will have an array of global influences in their releases. The tracks I listened to on their Soundcloud are a mellow, groovy style of Tech House that is great for listening to both at home or in a club environment. Check out these previews below and be sure to pick up Cherry Drop releases on their website.

Coming to you from the Bay Area, I have some fresh original tracks from you by upcoming DJ/producer Justin Weisberg. Justin is making some really bangin’ tech house and techno tracks, stuff comparable to Claude von Stroke / Dirtybird Records productions. His stuff could easily be Beatport top 100 material with some more recognition. Justin was nice enough to send over some tracks for me to post up and share with you all. The first, So Moist, is a groovy tech house jam who’s title will make sense after a listen. The other two tracks, Rise of the Sexbots and Velvet Panckes are on the techno side of things yet both very different takes. Check out the tracks below and for more check out Justin’s Soundcloud.

Room Mates EP by Adam K & Jelo
Adam K and JELO have just released this tech house banger titled “Room Mates” on Funkagenda’s label Funk Farm. The song sounds kind of like deadmau5, so if you’re into him you’ll probably dig this one. It has a fun and bouncy bassline and some interesting synths which kept me entertained for the duration of the song.

In the spirit of condensing, I’m going to do one big “songs I just want to post because I like”. Some of these songs will be old, some new, but I assure you that they’re all Electric Hive certified bangers.
First, two heavy remixes by Crizzly, a new dubstep remix of Justice’s “Tthhee Ppaarrttyy” that’s been floating around recently and a remix of Lil Kee’s “Bust It Wide Open”. Crizzly, more than a lot of other dubstep artists, is doing the whole crunkstep/super grimy dubstep thing right.
Tthhee Ppaarrttyy feat. Uffie (Crizzly Remix)
Next, a bangin’ tech house remix of Schoolboy‘s dubstep track “Checkmate” by Dave Winnel. I’ve been liking tech house more the more I listen to it, this was one of the tracks that first sparked my attention in the style a while ago.
“Hot As Hell” by New York City’s Drop The Lime is real interesting, creative piece of house music. It has a classic, western feel to it and I can’t get enough of the horn samples he uses. To me this track has the same level of catchyness as “We No Speak Americano”, DJ’s – this one’s guaranteed to get the crowd going.
Over on his SoundCloud, Kaskade is always posting up mashups of different tracks and some of them are really good. One in particular that I liked a lot was his “Kaskade vs. Deadmau5 vs. Michael Woods – Move For First Aid” mashup. The vocals for “Move For Me” are infectious and lay perfectly over the Michael Woods track.
