There are songs that are so electric, melodies so catchy, synths so dreamy, that they are impossible to stop from bouncing around the Hive. Visitor, a “French Touch” act out of London, seems to understand what the Electric Hive Electronic Music Blog considers music that no matter how much we listen to, keeps resonating as something better than the rest. Every track they put out is an instant purchase, and their smooth disco infused synths are a highlight of my morning commute. For all you living in Los Angeles, you understand the necessity of something to cheer you up when you are “parked” on the 405.
Visitor releases their tracks on Vulture Music, the record label started by the one and only Alan Braxe. Vulture Music knows what Disco revivement is all about, catchy melodies with high melodic synths. Considered to be “French Touch”, the sounds mimic a combination Disco and French House.
Visitor is working on finishing up their debut EP, but we got our hands on some sweet tracks to hold you over.

As our Electronic Music Blog starts to expand, i plan on taking time to introduce the hive to more and more genres. For today, that means i am expanding our cred as a reliable Nu Disco Blog. I love the genre, but i know many can think it is a little too soft for dance floors. Well, not all Nu Disco must sound like a reincarnation of those “crazy” parties your parents once had. As the Nu Disco genre expands, it was only a matter of time before someone started infusing some darker elements. Well leave it to Germans, who have incorporated some Fred Falke french touch with a German twist on Nu Disco. This group, “Final Dj’s” are skyrocketing to fame as the “Boys Noize” of Nu Disco. No longer do I feel like i am trapped in a John Hughes movie while getting my 70′s vibe on, and these tracks could keep any dance floor popping. (As a side note, I am an 80′s kids and love John Hughes movies)
Make sure to head over to their Soundcloud for more tracks!

Temporarity by Michael Cassette
I felt like I had to post this one up or I would be doing a disservice to all of our readers. The track is Zeppelin by Michael Cassette and it’s pretty damn amazing. I just finished listening to the album and all of the tracks I really enjoyed, but something about this one stuck out from the rest just a little bit. It felt like there was a bit of magic in the track that I could feel within the beautiful melodies and progressions. I strongly urge you to check out this track Zeppelin, along with the rest of the album.

Los Angeles locals Captain Cuts keep putting out stinging remixs. Every time I make a mix this summer, Captain Cuts seems to make into the first couple tracks. Featured on the top A&R blog in the country, Neon Gold Records, it seems necessary to start Electric Hive’s Nu Disco section with an up and comer.
