My apologies, readers, I have been without my laptop for the past 2 weeks and consequently unable to post much. I’m back though, and about to play some catch up with a bunch of songs I’ve wanted to post recently but haven’t been able to. This first batch is going to be House and Electro heaters that I’ve been playing on repeat.
Kimen – Acid Rocker (Original Mix)
Laidback Luke & Sander Van Doorn – Who’s Wearing The Cap
Kill The Noise – Kill the Noise (Alvin Risk Remix)

The five degree temperature change in Los Angeles is leaving me sick in bed, and able to post some great tracks for you on this rainy LA night. Frank Ocean is competing with The Weeknd for the spot as R&B’s #2 (got to give the #1 to Drake), and SBTRKT is helping his rise to fame, with an emaculate remix of “Thinking Bout You.” This is a perfect track for a special night, with a special someone.

HeavyWeight DJs are breaking through the scene in their native country of Finland, and it is only a matter of time before they have the following to tour in the states. The original track “One and Only” is currently on repeat at Electric Hive HQ, and it is getting me super pumped for a night out in LA. Expect big things from them in the future.

We’ve been getting a lot of really great reader submissions in the style of Disco House, French House and Nu Disco and I think it’s time they get a feature here. This style of EDM is always my go-to when I want to relax and be in a good mood, and these songs help me do just that.
The first comes from Neo Disco Machine, from his Break The Ice EP (which can be downloaded for FREE here). This track is funky, refreshing and just plain awesome, as is the rest of his EP. I strongly encourage you to download the whole thing.

Next up, an EP titled “Lovebeat” by Solidisco that rivals Duck Sauce and Go Go Bizkitt! as my favorite Disco House. Solidisco sample a bunch of classic Disco tracks and blend them perfectly together with modern House music to create three tracks that would make just about anyone start to dance. You can pick up the EP from Junodownload here
Solidisco – Lovebeat EP **OUT NOW ON YOUNG ROBOTS** by Solidisco
To wrap things up, we have the sweet Nu Disco sounds of Ali Jamieson. I can’t get enough of this track, it was an instant 5 star in my iTunes when I added it and has continued to be played on repeat since then.

Today, Hive, we present to you a massive remix EP just released on La Bombe, the label headed by the mighty Sharooz. If you haven’t heard “Hysteresis” or “Up,” you must be living under a rock because both of these tracks have gotten support from DJs all over. These two new remixes take the two tracks in some fun, funky new directions that I know the Hive will appreciate.
The first tack, the “Hysteresis” remix, was done by TWR72, who have been getting support from the likes of A-Trak and Laidback Luke. They decided to put a Techno spin on this one and the result was pure genius, I’ve been grooving for this one for days now and am not even close to sick of it. Brodinski has been playing out this remix all over the place with great crowd response.
Sharooz – Hysteresis (TWR72 Remix) by La Bombe
The “Up” remix comes in the form of a Tech House monster. I’m always a sucker for good Tech House and the Scotsman Polymath killed it on this one, DJ’s – don’t sleep on this one.

If you like what you hear be sure to head over to Beatport and pick up the EP here.

To get everyone’s week started, we figured what better way than some new Tech House heat from up and coming label Cherry Drop Records out of the UK. Cherry Drop was just started this year in August, but their first released track is in my iTunes rated 5 stars and the upcoming previews they have posted have the same fresh touch. They have also signed artists throughout Europe and the U.S., meaning they will have an array of global influences in their releases. The tracks I listened to on their Soundcloud are a mellow, groovy style of Tech House that is great for listening to both at home or in a club environment. Check out these previews below and be sure to pick up Cherry Drop releases on their website.
