It must seem that we are turning into a Nu Disco Blog after all the  posts this week. Not to hate on other genres, but Nu Disco is blowing up! This track is from Nu Disco legends College and Electric Youth. Megaman & Panic City throw down a BANGIN’ remix of the popular track Real Hero. Found this little gem over at Hype Machine, and I suggest you head over there and help them rise the charts!

We’ve been getting a lot of really great reader submissions in the style of Disco House, French House and Nu Disco and I think it’s time they get a feature here. This style of EDM is always my go-to when I want to relax and be in a good mood, and these songs help me do just that.

The first comes from Neo Disco Machine, from his Break The Ice EP (which can be downloaded for FREE here). This track is funky, refreshing and just plain awesome, as is the rest of his EP. I strongly encourage you to download the whole thing.

Next up, an EP titled “Lovebeat” by Solidisco that rivals Duck Sauce and Go Go Bizkitt! as my favorite Disco House. Solidisco sample a bunch of classic Disco tracks and blend them perfectly together with modern House music to create three tracks that would make just about anyone start to dance. To wrap things up, we have the sweet Nu Disco sounds of Ali Jamieson. I can’t get enough of this track, it was an instant 5 star in my iTunes when I added it and has continued to be played on repeat since then.

I always mean to post more French House / Nu Disco than I do, so I’m going to try to catch up on that over the next few days. The first track I want to share with you today was sent to use from UK record label La Bombe, and it’s sexy, fun and danceable. Surrender’s track, “Conflicted,” is set to be released with his album on La Bombe sometime in 2012 and judging by this track it is definitely an album I will be buying. Conflicted sounds like if Justice met Fred Falke, and they had a beautiful child together. The best part? La Bombe is giving the track away for free! There are songs that are so electric, melodies so catchy, synths so dreamy, that they are impossible to stop from bouncing around the Hive. Visitor, a “French Touch” act out of London, seems to understand what the Electric Hive Electronic Music Blog considers music that no matter how much we listen to, keeps resonating as something better than the rest. Every track they put out is an instant purchase, and their smooth disco infused synths are a highlight of my morning commute. For all you living in Los Angeles, you understand the necessity of something to cheer you up when you are “parked” on the 405.

Visitor releases their tracks on Vulture Music, the record label started by the one and only Alan Braxe. Vulture Music knows what Disco revivement is all about, catchy melodies with high melodic synths. Considered to be “French Touch”, the sounds mimic a combination Disco and French House.

Visitor is working on finishing up their debut EP, but we got our hands on some sweet tracks to hold you over.

Futurecop! just released their latest mix in the “Crying on the Dancefloor” series moments ago. The first installment came out early this summer, and as the days start to get colder and shorter, luckily Futurecop! has graced us with a new mix. I started listening to the “Dreamwave” creators a couple years ago after reading a feature, and I can say they have been my FAVORITE group since then. I know big claim. But as soon as you listen to the soft melodic synths these boys from the U.K. can produce, I promise you will start listening to anything you can get your hands (or ears) on. I recently saw them perform in Los Angeles, the Monday after Coachella. Yes, that is right. It could be said that i was more excited for that show than my trip out to the desert. I am posting this as i am giving it the first listen, so please give us responses of what you think of Electric Hive favorites.

Australian producer Dcup, partially responsible for 2010′s most popular dance song, “We No Speak Americano,” seems to have been hiding from EDM world since that release. He’s put out a few tracks but nothing even close to the level of impact that his previous release with Yolanda Be Cool had. I was just looking on his Soundcloud page and found two absolutely wonderful mixes he did, which he calls Kittens Pt 1 and Kittens Pt 2. Part 1 is around half an hour of smooth, sexy, slow Nu Disco that I must admit I was a little bit turned on listening to. Part 2 speeds up the tempo a little bit and focuses on Disco House mainly. I’m really impressed by both of these mixes and going to be following Dcup a little more closely now.
