If you haven’t heard of Sex Cult Records, you’re slacking. Sex Cult has a ferocious arsenal of producers under their belt, including Designer Drugs, Cyberpunkers, Tom Deluxx, PLS DNT STP and a whole bunch more. Today I’ve got some fresh Dubstep for you all from PLS DNT STP, the producer out of the city of brotherly love. PLS DNT STP has a sound I would welcome more of in today’s Dubstep scene, it’s a whole lot of bass and not overdone on the “transformers sex” sound we’ve all become so familiar with. It’s my favorite time of year again, the time when the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles gets transformed for two days into Hard Haunted Mansion. This was the first massive EDM event I ever attended and I still look back on 2009′s HHM as one of the best nights of my life, let alone concerts. Harvard Bass, A-Trak, The Bloody Beetroots, 2ManyDJ’s and Deadmau5 kept me dancing til the wee hours of the morning and put me into an electronic music craze that is still surging hard as ever.

This year’s lineup is stellar on both nights, and HARD has done a great job of balancing headliners and upcoming DJs. I have some serious tunes for you today you can expect to hear this weekend at HHM in order to get you pumped. Hope to see some of you there this Saturday, if not then just enjoy the tunes!

This song just popped into my head for some reason, I remember hearing it almost a year ago and only being able to find low quality rips so I never downloaded it and forgot about it. I don’t think it ever got a proper release, but after some searching I was able to find the track in high quality to share with you all. It’s more or less your typical Skrillex/12th Planet track, but I’m a sucker for this one cause it features vocals from Sonny Moore, and I was a big From First to Last fan before Skrillex was even conceived. Younger producers are killing it right now across all genres of EDM. I was pretty amazed when I heard this new track by 16 year old producer Grumblex out of the UK. It reminds me of Datsik & FuntCase’s production, both of whom I’m a huge fan of. In a nutshell I’d call it disgustingly heavy, but refined. Ace Dubstep producer FuntCase out of the UK just had this devastating remix of Sigma’s “The Jungle” released and I’m going to place it in my top 5 favorite Dubstep tracks of the year. This guy is just getting better and better with every release he puts out. FuntCase epitomizes the balls-to-the-wall heavy Dubstep sound done right. Check out his remix of “The Jungle” below and check out a bonus classic remix he did of Skism’s “Rise of the Idiots” too.

Skoof out of New York City just put out this hauntingly evil Dubstep mix just in time for the Halloween season, which he appropriately titled, “Creepshow.” His mix features dark Dubstep and samples from various “horror films, movie monsters and serial killers.” Skoof killed it on this one, the whole mix creates a sinister atmosphere and will give you goosebumps at some points.
